The Honda XL range first appeared in the 1970s and was manufactured throughout the 1980s, with models from the 125 Varadero through 250, 350 600r to 750 Varadero. It was really the first modern mass produced four-valve, four-stroke enduro motorcycle. The XL really established the baseline for the big modern four-stroke enduro bikes. The XL looks like a dirt bike and has many of the qualities of a dirt bike, but is street legal and is equally good on or off road. It is a perennially popular motorcycle.
