A New Britten V1000 Motorcycle Scale Model Is On Its Way!
Build Yourself A Britten
There has been a lot of interest in the 1/12 scale model Britten V1000 motorcycles since the kits were last available over 10 years ago. The combined forces of Britten enthusiasts, collectors and model builders are all queuing up for these little delights now, as the second generation are heading for production. The latest kit uses new technology to create a higher level of detail than its predecessor, using a combination of metal resin and photo etched parts to create a really life like pint-sized product.
Due to these innovations, this new model bike will be unique, ensuring that the earlier one will retain its collectability. There will be a few differences between the first model and this new one too, as the latest version will incorporate design changes which really happened to the real life sized race bike over the years.
The model will come in a choice of liveries, the traditional blue and pink and the black and yellow CR&S race livery - complete with the correct decals. Of course each model will be individually numbered as well. The first run will comprise 10 motorcycles aimed at collectors and numbered, unsurprisingly, 1-10 mirroring the ten final edition Britten V1000s which were built. Each of these special editions will come with a certificate listing their number and the matching real V1000 they are paired with.
Prices and availability are yet to be confirmed as the bike is still in development but they are looking at a release in 2021 so look out for more information if you want to snap one up.
