This looks like a really fun day out – Beaulieu is introducing what promises to be a great new event on Saturday July the 6th, their first ‘Bikers’ Day’ where motorcyclists are invited to ride in on their pride and joy.
The event is open to all makes and models of motorcycle and the approach is through the beautiful New Forest so the ride there should be very scenic. Motorcycles can then park up in the grounds of the National Motor Museum and make contact with friends and other riders and check out the other bikes which are there. If you want to visit with friends, it is best to buy individual tickets but arrive together so that you can park next to each other.
From classics to modern machines, there should be a multitude of motorcycles there for everyone to enjoy and the sound of the historic motorcycle start ups will offer a great soundtrack to the event.
The line-up will include a 1928 Rudge-Whitworth (ex-Graham Walker), 1961 Honda RC 162 (ex-Mike Hailwood), 1975 Kawasaki h1R (ex-Mick Grant) and 1961 BSA Super Rocket ‘Café Racer’ amongst many others.
The charity Mental Health Motorbike will be there supporting the event with a stand. The charity aims to improve the mental health of motorcyclists and invites anyone feeling overwhelmed to visit their team and ask about support.
Entrance to the event is only £10 which also grants access to the whole of the Beaulieu attraction, including the award-winning National Motorcycle Museum and the NEW Streets Ahead exhibition, World of Top Gear , Palace House and grounds. Entry is from 9.30am when the Brabazon Restaurant will be serving hot drinks and refreshments.
Looks like a great day out for any motorcyclist, let us know if you are going and how it went afterwards if you get a minute.
