World of BMW has announced the full calendar of 2014 dates for the BMW Off Road Skills school. Bookings are now being taken for the courses, beginning in March 2014, ahead of the full 2014 World of BMW Activity Brochure launch in November.

Courses run from 28 March – 21 October 2014

The school’s popular two-day Level One GS course, as seen recently on Bike Channel and featured in the Long Way Round TV show, is the ideal introduction to off-road riding for motorcyclists of any skill level.

Run by Dakar racer Simon Pavey and his team of expert instructors, BMW Off Road Skills offers a great off-road riding experience in South Wales. Utilising expert training and a structured syllabus, BMW Off Road Skills is the ideal place for new and experienced riders to hone their abilities. The school has the only access to an exclusive 4,000-acre off-road riding venue and a range of brand-new BMW GS adventure-sports motorcycles to learn on.


The school runs a fleet of the latest GS adventure-sports motorcycles, including fully kitted-out liquid-cooled R 1200 GS models featuring BMW’s revolutionary Dynamic ESA semi-active suspension, ASC traction control and switchable ABS – all of which are demonstrated in detail. These courses offer the ultimate test ride, allowing potential buyers to put the bikes through their paces on and off-road, and letting owners discover the full potential of their GS motorcycles.

BMW Off Road Skills offer a range of courses, events and trips, including novice to expert riding tuition, practical hands-on training in motorcycle preparation and maintenance and spectacular off-road riding tours in the Brecon Beacons, Portugal and Australia.

The new World of BMW 2014 Activity Brochure will initially be available from the BMW Motorrad stand at Motorcycle Live, beginning on 23 November 2013.
