Bonhams Summer Bicester Heritage Motorcycle Sale Is Live & Online This Year
August 14th - 16th at Bicester Heritage
Well an unusual chance to snap up a famous historic motorcycle has come up as the famous Morbidelli Motorcycle Museum in Pesaro in Italy is selling off some of its motorcycle exhibits.
Three of the motorcycles on sale, amongst many more, are 250 GP Benelli race machines:
Benelli 250 Bialbero Corsa – Dario Ambrosini
This is the Benelli ridden by Dario Ambrosini in the 1950 250 GP World Championship. It is a beautiful DOHC single sleek and iconic motorcycle. Going for an estimate of £120,000 - £180,000
Benelli 250 Bialbero GP Mono
This is a DOHC single 250 GP Benelli built in 1959. It used to belong to John Surtees until it went to Giancarlo Morbidelli in 1980 and took its place in the museum. It's going for an estimated £60,000 - £100,000
Benelli 250 Bialbero 4 – Tarquino Provini
This bike is a DOHC 250 inline 4 which was piloted by Tarquino Provini in the 1964 250 GP series and is signed by Provini himself. It is up for an estimate of £80,000 - £120,000
The Morbidelli family are not selling the Morbidelli GP racers but some of the other bikes in the collection like Ducati, Mondial, Norton, Matchless and Hondas are all up for grabs.
