Crescent Suzuki to stay in partnership with Motorex

for 2014 race season

Crescent Suzuki has announced an extension to its partnership with Motorex that will see the association between the two complete a decade of racing and commercial activity.

Voltcom Crescent Suzuki will continue to use the Motorex range of lubricants in the cut-and-thrust arena of the World Superbike Championship in 2014 and grow the relationship that Crescent has built with the Swiss-based oil company throughout the last seven-years. Motorex has been with the team since becoming a partner in the British Superbike series and has continued to support Crescent Racing as it has taken the next step up to the World stage. The Motorex brand is also available in the retail arms of Crescent and has become an integral part of the business with the knowledge the technicians have gained from working with the products at such a high-level.

Motorex - big and environmentally friendly too

Bucher AG Langenthal, (Motorex) has the biggest base oil storage capacity in Switzerland and one motor in four in its homeland, be that on land or on water, is lubricated with an oil ‘made in Langenthal’. Motorex now exports to some 75 countries all over the world and in the last three-years its turnover has grown at an outstanding annual rate, with exports now accounting for more than 25% of total sales. Motorex also has an enviable environmental policy that sees it develop, sell, and produce products which are safely produced, safely used, safely recycled and safely disposed of. Its environmental principles cover all areas of the Bucher-Motorex Group of companies and runs like a ‘green-line’ through its entire process.

Founded in 1917 by Arnold Bucher, in Bützberg for the manufacture of leather and floor care products, the name changed to MOTOREX - derived from the REX brand – in 1947 and top-quality lubricants and chemical products were developed, produced and marketed. The firm initially sold roughly one drum per day and now has in excess of 20,000 active customers in Switzerland alone. The range of Motorex branded products not only covers oils and lubricants, but also cleaning products, brake fluids and numerous other lines for many various forms of machinery, including motorcycles, cars, boats, trucks, farm equipment and even ski-lifts! Ronald Kabella –Director of Powersports, Bucher-Motorex Group:

“Motorex has proudly partnered Crescent Suzuki since 2007 as both a technical sponsor and corporate sponsor. The team is always striving for success, but what sets it apart is the effort Crescent makes to create a business and promotional opportunity for our brand. After these last seven-years together, we will enter into a new three-year agreement, taking us to 10-years of partnership and look forward to more success together – on the track, in business and as a commercial partner.”

Paul Denning – Crescent Racing Team Manager:

“When we began to discuss a new agreement with Motorex for the 2014 World Superbike campaign and Ronald suggested a new three-year agreement, it was amazing to realise that that takes us to ten-years of partnership with this fantastic company. The product and its quality have never been in doubt. Engine performance and durability, as well as the rate of product development have been phenomenal. It is a partnership that extends beyond technology and we are very proud to be a marketing and sales partner for Motorex’s product line.

“At the end of our current agreement – which will be in late 2016 – we will be heading into 2017 and the 100-year anniversary of Motorex, which will hopefully allow us to take the relationship beyond 10-years and do something special to celebrate the centenary. Motorex are one of the best technical partners any racing team or business could wish to have.”
