Join Us for Joey

At Manor bikers cafe in Bellerby

John Newman

Can there be any among us who do not know and revere the Dunlop family of racers, and the memory of the incomparable Joey. Not only one of the greatest riders on the road or track, but also an exemplary humanitarian. When he wasn't racing he made a large number of trips to Romania in a van loaded with supplies for orphans and their carers in that country.

The foundation which now operates in his name www.joeydunlopfoundation.com raises funds to run Braddan Bridge House, a facility on the TT course that allows disabled people to enjoy the thrills of the island's racing from a purpose built holiday home.

Many riders will have come across their fund raising marquees at race meetings and other motorcycle gatherings. But to keep their house staffed and maintained in the condition which garners praise from all who have stayed there or visited, needs a constant flow of finance.

Wemoto will be supporting one of the fund raising events in North Yorkshire at the end of July and distributing some of our freebies for the crowds.  It takes place over the weekend of July 26th and 27th at Manor Bikers Cafe, Bellerby DL8 5QH. Details at www.manor-cafe.co.uk

If you are planning to go along then see you there!
