Motorcycle Training And Testing To Re-open

Some hope of an open road ahead for motorcycles and scooters

The green shoots of motorcycle recovery are beginning to poke their little heads above the soil and the MCIA (Motorcycle Industry Association) has announced that motorcycle CBT training centres and motorcycle lessons will be starting up once more on 29th March. Actual motorcycle and motorcycle theory testing will begin again on the 12 of April, great news!

The government did not see fit to offer an expiring CBT certificate extension like the MOT extension and therefore this reopening and chance to get back on the road, or out there for the first time, will be very welcome amongst all those who rely on motorcycles and scooters to get around and get to work.

Motorcycling has grown in popularity during the pandemic, as it offers socially distanced transport and gets people around in cities without increasing traffic flow problems. So a bit of welcome news here from the MCIA.
