Roll up, roll up!

You won't just end up with a bag full of biking goodies, there’s plenty to see too…
This October event prides itself on having one of the biggest collections of display machines anywhere in the world and showgoers can examine hundreds of stunning bikes from the 1960s through to the present day.

New for 2014, there will be machines in action too with parade laps around the venue’s main ring added to the line-up.

The event’s guest of honour always proves a popular draw and this year is no exception… Frankie Chili, best remembered in the UK for his battles with Carl Fogarty, will be in attendance and will regale visitors with stories from a legendary career on track.

Fogarty too will be in town on the Saturday of the event, the four times World Superbike champion will be stationed on the Oily Rag stand for the day.

And, just confirmed, Grand Prix legend Jim Redman will be holding multiple signing sessions on both days in the foyer of the main hall.

Going, going, gone...

The annual Autumn Stafford Sale from Bonhams is well worth a visit, even if you’re not planning a bid on anything, it’s still exciting to witness and, who knows, you might even find that you’re tempted…

And if all of that wasn’t enough, there are traditional displays from the Classic Racer Grand Prix Paddock and the Classic Dirt Bike experience along with a host of exhibits from the top motorcycle clubs in the business.

Now a firmly established part of the two Carole Nash classic events that are held at Staffordshire County Showground each year, the Classic Dirt Bike Experience attracts quite a gathering of knowledgeable spectators and interested enthusiasts keen to find out what the whole off-road thing is all about…

The experience is divided into two parts – a live action demo where solo and sidecar trials bikes are put through their paces and static displays where the best of trials, MX and enduro bikes are displayed for showgoers to enjoy.

Among the special attractions this year will be a BSA unit MX machine raced by Jeff Smith. And why is this? Well, it’s 50 years since he won his first world MX championship on a BSA and that’s a feat worth celebrating.

Also in the hall will be the Triumph Trident engine Wasp MX outfit to be used in the 2015 Tuareg Rallye in Africa by an intrepid team from the TR3OC.

As this October event is under the banner of Classic Motorcycle Mechanics, the theme will naturally lean towards the more modern machines of the 1970s and 80s but there is still plenty for enthusiasts of all eras to get excited about.

Just in time...
